The Blu Violet Rooftop Bar and restaurant, part of the Aloft Hotel in downtown Providence, was ready for a transformation. The challenge: ensure every component, including lighting, acoustics, materials, and circulation, would work together under constant use without compromising the guest experience.

We partnered with LDa Architecture & Interiors to deliver the renovation in two phases, beginning with patio and lighting work before completing the full interior transformation. The build required precise trade coordination throughout.

Beyond aesthetic enhancements, we also implemented meaningful operational upgrades. The service bar was extended to boost staff circulation and free the main bar to do what it was designed to do: draw people in and anchor the room. Lighting and AV systems were also carefully integrated to support the venue’s full programming calendar without losing the atmosphere that makes this space so special. Our work also included the installation of custom wallpaper and a chandelier on the existing ceiling.

In hospitality environments, every decision, from sequencing to finish coordination, must support both the design intent and the day-to-day demands of the venue. Blu Violet reflects what is possible when a strong design partnership and a disciplined construction approach remain aligned from the first wall to the final finish.
