Hubert Park, DMD, is a leader in his field and the community. While at Tufts University, he was the chief resident for pediatric dentistry. He also earned a Master’s in Public Health and advocates to improve oral health outcomes in minority groups.

Dr. Park established Broad Smiles in Lynn, after acquiring an existing dental clinic in a converted residential building. To accommodate growth, and to serve more families on the North Shore, Dr. Park decided to open a second clinic in a 1,550 square-foot unit in a commercial development in Salem. He engaged Wellen to transform the space.

Construction began in September of 2020. We demolished the unit back to structural elements to allow for a complete redesign of the space, new utilities and mechanical systems. We replaced the large glass windows of the lobby and cut several new windows into the exterior walls to bring more natural light into the clinic. To free up space for more treatment rooms, we built a mechanical room in the basement to house the compressor, suction system, water heater, amalgam separator and related fixtures.

The new clinic opened in January of 2021. Its six treatment rooms have full walls and doors, rather than an open concept, in the wake of COVID-19 protocols. The clinic has a vibrant, colorful design, including an original mural in the lobby, painted onsite by a local graffiti artist Dr. Park commissioned.
