Seeing sustained growth of their boutique medical optical practice, which includes personal style consultations and a portfolio of exclusive designer frames from around the world, Eye Spot planned to expand from their Chestnut Hill clinic to a second location in downtown Wellesley. Wellen was engaged to create a stunning space for their clients, within a relatively small footprint of just 800 sq. ft. of space.

After gutting the former retail space down to structural members, Wellen worked with the design team to customize nearly every aspect of the space, from the tile-faced awning to the interior tin ceilings, custom ceramic floors, and the millwork for walls, cabinetry, and dispensing tables. Several safes were built into the wall behind the beverage bar, to protect clients’ frames between consultations. Security for the clinic is tight, with an advanced and monitored alarm system, and a discrete rear-access door for wealthy and celebrity clients who wish to remain discrete when visiting. This project was completed in May of 2021.
