PURE DENTAL

With a thriving practice outgrowing its space on the second floor of an older building, Joseph A. Nelson II, DMD, got in on the ground floor of a new mixed-use building to be constructed in the Jamaica Plain section of Boston. Dr. Nelson leased the space, even before the building was built. The new mid-rise building now has residences on the upper floors, garage parking below, and retail space on the first floor. Dr. Nelson reached out to Wellen after a referral from a dental colleague whom we build a new clinical space for several years ago.  Starting from an empty shell space, we built a 2,400 square-foot clinic with seven treatment rooms, a laboratory and sterilization area, a reception area, offices and a break room for the staff.  Because the clinic sits over the garage area, this project required intensive engineering and precision work to install the plumbing and utility lines within the structural cement slab. This project also leveraged our integrated team at Wellen, drawing on architects, engineers and craftsmen who also work on the luxury residential side of our company. They delivered a stunning design, with custom millwork done in-house that creates a classic yet contemporary vibe. The project began in November of 2019 and was completed in March of 2020.
